Today’s Devotions – The To-Do List:

This is my to-do list. I am a champion list maker! Checking off my list one by one leaves a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Do you do the same? This one though, this one is special. Every single day, my heart is whole because of the Lord. Every single day there is so much to be thankful for.

1. Spend time with Jesus.

Psalm 27:8 ~ My heart said of you, “Go worship Him.” So I come to worship you, Lord.

2. Let Him prioritize my day.

Matthew 6:33 ~ But seek first the kingdom of God and seek His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

3. Pray instead of worrying.

Philippians 4:6 ~ Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.

4. Be honest about my sins.

James 4:10 ~ Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

5. Think of others.

Philippians 2:3-4 ~ When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves. Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others.

6. Wait patiently for God.

Psalm 27:14 ~ Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord.

7. Be willing to do hard stuff.

Matthew 16:24 ~ Then Jesus said to His followers, ‘If people want to follow me they must give up the things they want. They must be willing to even give up their lives to follow me.

8. Read God’s Word.

Psalms 119:9-16 ~ How can a young person live a pure life? By obeying Your Word. With all my heart I try to obey you. Don’t let me break your commands. I have taken Your words to heart so I would not sin against You. Lord, you should be praised. Teach me Your demands. My lips will tell about all the laws You have spoken. I enjoy living by Your rules as people enjoy great riches. I think about Your orders and study Your ways. I enjoy obeying your demands and I will not forget Your Word.

9. Do what it says.

James 1:22 ~ But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

10. Let Christ lead me.

Matthew 11:29 ~ Accept My teachings and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in Spirit and you will find rest for your lives.

So tell me, what’s on your list today?
